DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS – INCREASE UNDERSTANDING, REDUCE RESOURCE

This is an opportunity for members to find out how to apply statistical thinking to industrial problem solving. Harnessing the power of statistical design of experiments can give a real understanding of the parameters that influence experiments, which could lead to higher quality outputs, a faster route to market and reduce spend. The session will be a high level overview of the techniques and the CPD opportunities available to enable organisations to implement techniques in-house.

Design of Experiments – Increase understanding, reduce resource

Design of Experiments is a powerful statistical method that can be used to understand how complex systems work and how they can be optimised.  Understanding biological systems effectively requires multidimensional understanding of factors and factor interactions, and their influence on key outputs.  Getting this knowledge and capability into your business or your academic research will enable you to save time and money in comparison to the traditional single factor experimental approach.

The event will be delivered by those leading the training and implementation at a national level, supported by leading software supplier JMP.  You will hear how statistical thinking and design of experiments can be implemented by training your own staff via CPD and hear how the techniques are already benefitting IB companies.
