Dr Catriona Clark, Project Manager - IBioIC
Catriona is committed to growing the IBioIC project programme and enhancing the industrial and academic experience of the Centre whilst growing the economic impact of IB within Scotland. Within her first year at the Centre she has been striving to understand the complex science world of IB.
A solid-state chemist by training, Catriona obtained her MSci Honours (1st Class) in Chemistry in 2008 and PhD in crystallography in 2012, both from the University of Strathclyde. In 2011, Catriona joined the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CAMC) as a post-doctoral knowledge transfer associate prior to being promoted to the position of Assistant Centre Manager. In these roles she worked closely with industrial members, managed researcher events and a large £11.4m equipment procurement project. Catriona joined IBioIC as Project Manager in June 2014, where she is responsible for the management of the Centre’s industry-led project, feasibility project and core project programmes including the establishment of IBioIC’s two equipment centres. In 2015, Catriona gained her Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner certifications in Project Management.
In her spare time Catriona enjoys camping in the Scottish Highlands, playing badminton with friends and is often found researching topics for her weekly local pub quiz team.
