Production Technician

STEM Recruitment has partnered with a valued client to support their search for multiple Production Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing manufacturing team and work hands-on with advanced biopharmaceutical production processes.

As a Production Technician, you will operate a range of automated and semi-automated processes, including chromatography, centrifugation, ultrafiltration and other downstream operations. You will develop a full operational understanding of your designated process and play a key role in maintaining quality, safety and productivity standards while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a fully on-site role operating on a 24/7 shift rotation. A personal vehicle is required to access the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment (ultrafiltration, centrifugation, chromatography, etc.) in line with training and procedures.

  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of downstream processing, such as chromatographic techniques, to operate equipment independently and resolve issues.

  • Understand principles of gas and liquid filtration; troubleshoot filter testing and usage.

  • Carry out process formulations unsupervised and ensure critical samples are taken and submitted correctly in accordance with procedures and IMS.

  • Perform sterile transfers of final product to the aseptic filling suite to meet production schedules.

  • Operate and troubleshoot Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems for department-specific equipment.

  • Conduct pH and conductivity monitoring and testing.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Prior manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food, drink, brewing or other highly regulated environments.

  • Experience with pH, conductivity and chromatography.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment or under GMP regulations (advantageous).
