Lorenzo Miele

Lorenzo joined the IBioIC scale up team in April 2023 as a fermentation scientist, where he is in charge of assisting in the delivery of industry-led fermentation projects as well as technical training courses.

In 2022, Lorenzo completed his MSc in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Naples, Italy, where he is originally from. As part of his master’s degree, Lorenzo completed an internship at Zurich University of Applied Sciences at the bioprocess technology lab, focusing on bacteria and bacteriophages cultivation and the development of a novel analytical method for phage quantification.

Lorenzo is also a photographer and it’s not difficult to find him in the city centre taking some street shots with his film cameras. Enthusiastic about outdoor sports, in his spare time he can be found riding his mountain bike around with his friends.
