Prayag Poreri

Prayag joined the IBioIC in January 2024 as a senior downstream processing scientist. He is responsible for aiding the delivery of industry-led downstream projects while also supporting technical training courses and mentoring and supervising junior scientists.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology engineering from the University of Calicut, India, he joined Syngene International Ltd., India, as a research intern in the downstream processing team and was later converted into a full-time employee. At Syngene, he worked with multiple clients all over the world and supplied hundreds of purified products and several optimized processes in accordance with their requirements. After working six years at Syngene, he moved to Beckman Coulter, India, where he worked extensively on the downstream processing and analysis of flow cytometry reagents for two years.

He spends his free time immersed in the world of photography and videography, honing his skills as a video editor and exploring the latest advancements in the field of cinematography and filmmaking.
