This role is ideal for a candidate with strong hands-on industrial lab experience and practical expertise in one or more of the following analytical techniques: HPLC, GC, GC-MS, or ICP. Key Responsibilities

• Conducting and overseeing analytical testing using Chromatography and ICP techniques.

• Preparing and analysing samples for clients using instruments such as HPLC, UV, ECD, GC, GC-MS, IC, and ICP.

• Reporting analytical results accurately and cross-checking data in line with laboratory procedures.

• Reviewing and authorising reports produced by laboratory colleagues.

• Performing routine lab support functions including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping.

• Troubleshooting instrumentation and analytical issues as needed.

• Ensuring compliance with company quality systems, particularly ISO 17025 (UKAS accredited).

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent practical laboratory experience.

• Proven experience operating HPLC, GC, GC-MS or ICP equipment in a commercial laboratory environment.

• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and laboratory data systems.

• A reliable, proactive team player with a strong commitment to quality.

• Supervisory experience or the ability to delegate workload is advantageous but not essential.
