A team of Scottish researchers is exploring a new process that could see plastic waste from industrial processes used to manufacture pharmaceuticals for neurological conditions, in what is believed to be a world first.

BASF in the UK wants to hear from 100 start-ups and early-stage companies developing innovative and sustainable solutions. Interested companies are invited to apply by 13 August 2023.

Edinburgh based Lentitek Ltd (Lentitek), a developer of pioneering manufacturing technologies enabling economic delivery of advanced cell and gene therapies, announced today that it has secured £250,000 ($300,000 USD) in seed investment.  This investment will be deployed to further advance its technology and commence initial commercial trials. 

CPI and a consortium of 14 other businesses, universities and others have received a grant towards a project aimed at converting industrial carbon emissions to create more sustainable consumer products.
