The Opportunity
You will take ownership of QC operations within a GMP-regulated environment, providing both leadership and hands-on technical direction across laboratory activity. The role will suit someone who can combine people management, compliance oversight, and advanced analytical expertise to support a developing project with high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead QC laboratory operations in line with GMP expectations and wider regulatory requirements
Provide technical expertise across analytical methods, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and laboratory investigations
Support the delivery of a new project by establishing strong quality processes, robust documentation, and effective laboratory ways of working
Oversee method validation, stability activity, laboratory performance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage audits, deviations, CAPA, and compliance-related actions
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytical team
About You
Strong experience working within GMP-regulated QC or analytical laboratories
Excellent understanding of GMP compliance, quality systems, and laboratory standards
Hands-on technical expertise across analytical chemistry techniques and complex data interpretation
Confident troubleshooting analytical, instrumentation, and method-related issues
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing scientific laboratory teams
A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline
