From placement to patent
IBioIC's MSc course features the opportunity for students to undertake a 12 week industry placement. Barbara Guimaraes worked with Xanthella on a project investigating the effect of narrow spectrum light on cultures of microalgae and cyanobacteria.
Driving innovation through collaboration
Via its IB Accelerator programme, IBioIC provided grant support to GlycoMar to fund advanced processing techniques as part of their project investigating the optimal production of target polysaccharide products from microalgae.
