The ESBES Symposium 2026 will take place at TU Delft, The Netherlands, from 29 November to 2 December 2026, bringing together researchers and professionals in biochemical engineering and biotechnology.
This year’s theme, “Biomanufacturing 4.0,” focuses on how digital technologies are transforming the production of biological products, food and bioproducts. Key areas include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Digital Twins, Big Data, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and advanced modelling and process control.
The programme also covers a broad range of biochemical engineering topics, including biocatalysis, bioenergy and the bioeconomy, bioreactor performance, downstream processing, metabolic engineering, food bioprocessing, microalgae, regenerative medicine manufacturing and cellular agriculture, including precision fermentation and cultivated food
