ISMB 2026 brings together researchers exploring how forces shape life spanning development, ageing and disease within the broader, multidisciplinary Synergy for Science conference.
Launched in 2011 alongside the founding of the International Society for Mechanobiology (ISocMB) in Shanghai, the International Symposium for Mechanobiology has since been held in Okayama (2014), Singapore (2017), Sydney (2022) and Tainan (2024). The 2026 Glasgow meeting marks the 6th edition, continuing ISocMB’s mission to connect and grow the global mechanobiology community.
Expect a week of cross-disciplinary sessions, hands-on discussions, and opportunities to connect with biophysics, physiology, imaging, materials and engineering biology communities across SynSci26.
