The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC), in conjunction with UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), are hosting this in-person workshop to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration between textiles industry challenge holders and biotechnology solution providers.
Biotechnology is unlocking a more sustainable future for the textiles industry. From bio-based fibres and materials derived from algae and crop residues, to enzymatic dyeing and bio-manufactured pigments. Biotech is replacing resource-intensive processes with low impact, circular alternatives delivering novel performance characteristics and transformational end-of-life solutions.
This event is designed to match real-world industry challenges with cutting-edge biotech solutions – supporting the shift to responsible fashion and low-impact manufacturing.
