Explore the opportunities at the intersection of space and life sciences, and help shape Scotland’s approach to this emerging sub-sector.
Life sciences and space are increasingly complementary, creating opportunities that flow in both directions. From radiation as an analogue for accelerated ageing and microgravity as a unique environment for tissue growth and crystallisation, to novel biomaterials and bioregenerative life support systems, this session will explore how life sciences can enable future space activity and how space can advance life sciences research and innovation. The discussion will inform Scotland’s strategic approach to this emerging area.
