Scotland’s Biobased Construction Materials Landscape

  • The Technology and Innovation Centre (Level 9) 99 George Street Glasgow, Scotland, G1 1RD United Kingdom (map)

About the event

With increasing focus on reducing embodied carbon, Scotland is seeing growing interest in bio-based materials for construction and the built environment.

IBioIC, in collaboration with BE-ST, is hosting this session to explore the Scotland's bio-based materials landscape, highlighting current activity, emerging developments, and the practical steps needed to bring these materials into wider use.

The session will bring together researchers, innovators and industry to share insights from ongoing projects and material development. By connecting those creating new bio‑based products with those who could specify, manufacture or apply them, the event aims to highlight practical opportunities for collaboration and real‑world deployment.
