Scottish Partnership in Energy and Engineering Research & Innovation. It is a pan-Scotland partnership bringing together 14 Scottish universities to strengthen collaboration in energy and engineering research, innovation and skills.

The SPEERI Annual Conference 2026, “Connect to Collaborate”, will explore how we can turn connections into meaningful collaboration — and collaboration into innovation and impact.

This year’s conference will focus on:

• Finding the right partners

• Communicating ideas effectively

• Developing compelling pitches and proposals

• Engaging with funders

• Making the most of opportunities to work together

Through real-world examples of successful collaborative projects, participants will hear from those who have already navigated the journey — what worked, what they learned and what they would do differently.

Interactive panels and discussions will explore how to move from that first connection, through developing a strong partnership and securing support, to delivering innovation and creating meaningful impact.
