However, some also cause disease and our understanding of these diverse organisms has been advanced dramatically by ready access to their complete genome sequences and the ability to interpret these to predict their resulting biological properties.
MORF Genomes is a tool created to make this task really accessible to microbiologists and biotechnologists through our powerful & easy to use browser-based interface. In this webinar they will use MORF Genomes to learn about the features of the important ESKAPE group of human pathogens.
You will see how they can examine and compare the properties of their genomes to illustrate known aspects of their biology, including production of virulence factors and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes, and discover and record new information in their genomes to understand them further.
Finally they will show how MORF Genomes can connect to other elements of the MORF platform to enable systems and synthetic biology approaches to be used to aid experimental design of microbes for biotechnology applications.
