This invitation-only networking session delivered by the Bioeconomy Cluster Builder is dedicated to sharing knowledge and building connections between the biotechnology and textile industry communities. At its heart is the Generation of Waste creative installation, first exhibited as part of Cop26, which dramatically illustrates the challenges (and opportunities) presented at each stage of the textiles value chain.

Bioeconomy Week Scotland 2024 Holyrood Reception
This invitation-only reception, hosted by Ivan McKee MSP, will give guests an opportunity to meet both MSPs and innovators working in Scotland’s Bioeconomy, to see examples of bio-based products, and to discuss how biotechnology is advancing the sustainability agenda.
Investor Pitching Session
This closed event is an opportunity for the Biotech Innovators cohort to pitch to investors. The event follows three months of pitch training delivered by Maryanne Johnston, which involved two full day workshops, plus one practice session in the space where the live pitching session will be held.
The live pitching session will see representatives from each company deliver their 5 minute pitch to the panel of investors.

Making the most of bioresources: Scotland's fish & seafood supply chain
This webinar explores how better coordination and collaboration along the fish supply chain and with innovators can lead to a more profitable and sustainable use of material flows. The webinar will provide an opportunity to learn about social and technical innovations against loss and waste in the fish and seafood supply chain and ask question to the expert panellists during Q&A at the end of the session. Our aim is to bring business, research and policy stakeholders that have an interest in fully utilising Scotland’s bioresources to exchange ideas and perspective and to create future collaborations.
