Emily Naray joined IBioIC as an Upstream Bioprocessing Scientist in August 2025. Her role is in carrying out FlexBIO’s upstream bioprocessing projects and teaching at the technical training courses.

Emily has an MSci in Biomedical Sciences (Molecular Biology) and completed her industrial placement at FlexBIO, developing skills in both upstream and downstream bioprocessing. After completing her degree, she also worked as a Research Associate in the biotechnology startup Green Bioactives, developing multiple plant stem-cell derived products and scaling-up cell lines. She was also involved in marketing.

In her free time, Emily enjoys sports including running and ballet. She is also a musician, playing piano and guitar, and composing music

Steven Scott

Steven Scott is the founder and Creative Director of TwoFifths Design, a brand, website and animation studio in Edinburgh. He works with public sector, research, university and third sector organisations across Scotland, and has been a Squarespace Circle partner since 2018.
